When we arrived in Michigan, we made the first fun stop at Cabela's. It is a massive store with more taxidermy than I have ever seen in one location. Way bigger than those in GA. It was great fun and we made it out without spending a single penny.
I do want to make a small point to all of my readers out there. If you have any intentions of going through the state of Ohio in the next 5-7 years, I would dismiss them now. The road is under construction from one end to the other. By the best turn of luck we went against the GPS and got around a 4-hour delay. Whew!
After our first stop to stretch the legs at Cabela's we went to check in at the hotel. After a few minutes in the room we went on the usual trip to Meijer to buy Rock-n-Rye Faygo. Only one case so far but there are plenty of Meijer's and plenty of room in the car yet.
Our next stop was for dinner with Troy's long time friends Dave and Sue. That was a wonderful visit. We had not seen them in 3 years and that was much too long. What a wonderful pair of friends.
Last but not least, we stopped at the 7-Eleven for a Rock-n-Rye slushie. Mmmmmm.
